7 Crocheted Items Any Nerd/Geek Needs

I may not be the biggest geek, but my daughter is. She is a Potterhead (Harry Potter fan). Anything Harry Potter she finds, she buys. Now I do like Batman and I buy Batman things, but there are fans who will buy anything that represents their fandom, my daughter is this type. These items are items that any nerd/geek needs to buy. These items you will not regret buying and will actually want to go out and buy more of. Here are 7 things that every nerd/geek needs to buy.

  1. The picture is of a Yoda beanie I made for a young boy for Halloween.

The second thing is a bookmark.  Any bookworm will admit that they need to use some kind of bookmark while reading a book. Myself as an avid reader will tell you this is the truth, folding over the corner of a page to mark your space feels like you are destroying something precious. However, you always run into the problem of never being able to find a bookmark when you need one. With this item, they are super cheap and you can stock up on a whole bunch of different fandom bookmarks to make your books a little more personal.

  3. The picture is of a partially done lightsaber I have made and a completed one I got the inspiration from.

The third thing is a lightsaber. Now I have to say this has got to be one of the cutest and most necessary items for any geek. This little lightsaber is not a full lightsaber, but actually a OtterPop holder. I cannot tell you how many times my kids would be eating these and need to grab a towel because their hands started to get too cold. Well, with this lightsaber, towel be gone! Not only will your kids’ hands not freeze anymore, but they know have an edible lightsaber that they can play with.

  4. The picture is of a Minion cup glove I am working on and the photo I got the inspiration from.

The fourth thing is a cup glove. The picture is of a Minion cup glove I am working on and the photo I got the inspiration from. This is a great idea for those long, cold winter nights. When drinking coffee or hot chocolate, no matter the cup, your hands get too hot. With these cup gloves as I call them, your hands will be able to get a little warm, enough to keep them nice and toasty, but not too hot that you feel like your hands are going to burn off. These are made in many different styles and designs to help you represent your fandom.

  5. The picture is of a Minion stocking (yes, I do love Minions) I made before Christmas.

The fifth thing is a stocking. This stocking is a perfect way for your kid – or you, no judging – to have the best Christmas ever. How fun would it be to see your kid pulling out all the stuff from Santa out of a stocking that they can’t take their eyes off of? This will help make any geek home complete this upcoming Christmas. Why not get ones for the whole family that match the theme of your Christmas tree – we all know you have one – whether it’s Batman or Minions, these stockings are essential in your house this Christmas.

  6. The picture is of a Batman bib, I also have a Minion one, I made a few months back for a boutique.

The sixth thing is a bib. The picture is of a Batman bib, I also have a Minion one, I made a few months back for a boutique. People are always having babies, even the geeks. Not only will these attract to the moms, but also the dads. Every dad wanted to be a super hero growing up and if they can make their kid one at a young age, they will. The baby and daddy will have something to bond over, a cute super hero bib. When you have a kid, you get to dress it up in whatever you want, now is your time to start introducing the world of geeks into their live. They don’t only come in super heroes, there are also Minion ones, or really anything else you can think of I can make it.

  7. The picture is of Batman diaper covers, I have yet to make one of these as well, I don't have any babies that need one, but again when I do make one you will be the first to know.

  8. The seventh thing is diaper covers. They are diaper covers that represent your fandom. The best ones so far are the superhero ones, but make a cute black and red one that matches a Mickey beanie with some Mickey booties, that’s just too adorable to think about! The best way to use one of these diaper covers is to get them with a matching beanie and booties. Do some cute newborn shots or now you have a way of letting your little one cosplay to the next convention. Just seeing how cute these are makes me want to have another baby, until I remember they grow into teenagers!
